    Searching long, fast moving threads

It can be difficult to search on this site for items on long threads, such as the Bargains thread. I've just realised that Google often does a better job. For example, try searching for the Berlioz Requiem SACD conducted by Munch recommended by hafod. Google will locate the right page within the thread whereas the site search is likely to only find the thread, which is not so useful for such long threads.

Google may well be the quickest method, but don't forget that, having located the thread, you also have the Search Thread button, above right, in the bar just beneath the main thread title.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Thanks - that's also useful. The thread search seems much more powerful for this kind of situation than the site search. It's worth remembering both techniques.

Dave, can you please remind me of the syntax of a site specific Google search? Thanks
