Just to deal with a single item that's been raised.
I started Proms 2011 as a sub-forum because, well, it's only January . When the Proms had a dedicated board it was always the biggest and busiest (or rather, about the same traffic as the main classical board) during the Proms season, and I think it should be promoted to a full forum in, when?, April/May? I really hope that by then the BBC will allow a direct link from the Proms homepage and R3's so that we can attract as many new contributors as possible.
I would also favour an early establishment of a Hear & Now board. This would centre on the programme but lead off into all aspects of contemporary music.
BaL remains a popular item in CD Review, so perhaps it merits a sub-forum (it will show up on the forum homepage). Another programme which in the past attracted weekly interest was Discovering Music. We could try this as a sub-forum of Performance, though the programme doesn't attract the weekly interest now which it used to before the revamp in 2003(?).
I don't think we want the forum homepage to be too cluttered, and as it wouldn't probably make sense to have a forum for every programme, topics, as and when, on the rest of the classical programmes could be raised on Platform 3. That's where I would propose to move the Breakfast threads, and then close the dedicated board.
