Who would display 20 freesias in 20 jam jars?

(Now if you'd said that all threads moaning about breakfast & featuring FoR3 will be moved to the basement...)
I don't know. Where something on the ArteLiveWeb was good I have rewatched/relistened to it many times. The Pittsburg Symphony Mahler 5 with Manfred Honeck has been there since September. I heard it live at the Proms the night before this (September the 11th) Berlin performance and I still get drawn back.

Then there is the glorious Jonathan Dove/Graham Vick chamber version of Wagner's Ring.

There is a Haitink Beethoven Symphony cycle with the COE.

This "iPlayer like" facility leaves concerts available for four or five months. If iPlayer made the best concerts available longer I am sure many of us would use the facility.

Netherlands Radio 4 still have the Haitink 80th birthday concerts on thoir website from 2009! Or did when I last looked a week or so ago. I'd agree that R3 need to keep some of their output available for much longer than 7 days.

What do you think of the new board set up, Chris?

I take the point Chris but you're referring to telly stuff, not Radio 3 where comments on a given concert generally come in pretty quickly & die away quickly.

I think it will be good to have a thread for individual concert. It works as a pointer/reminderto the programme. Also, it will make it easier to post comments on the programmes we listen to on Listen Again. When I finally got round to listen to the Scarlatti concert, the posts about the programme had been buried so deeply that I didn’t feel like bringing back to the surface but if there had been a thread for the programme, I’d probably have had a nerve enough to post a few words. I don’t know if the length of each thread matters too much.

We'll see how it works out but, yes, part of the aim is to flag up programmes in advance in case people haven't noticed them, which is more effectively done with separate threads. Even when there are no responses at all, a lot of people will have read the OP which will then have served a purpose.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
