I asked some while back if the R3 website could give us a link but was told that, sadly, this would not be possible as BBC editorial guidelines did not allow links to "external sites which 'give particular views of a person or organisation' ". And Facebook is not an 'external site'? And are people not invited to give their personal views?

Anyway, when the iPlayer MB closed, they kindly provided links to alternative sites, like DigitalSpy.

But I think we can be very understanding about the decision . No point in closing the R3 MBs and then pointing people in the direction of the site which stepped in to provide a similar service
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I can't see how that survey will provide anything of any value to the BBC (although it will no doubt bring in a nice little bundle of licence-payer's money to the survey monkies). The questions are asinine and only serve to pat themselves on the back. Negatives can safely be binned. Not sure what the "ethnic origins" of the survey is designed to highlight or is that one of the must-do questions to promote all-inclusiveness? (Paradoxically it makes me feel a stranger in my own land...). I refused to answer this one.

I see the new site persists in promoting the PRESENTER over and above any content.

Oh God what a dog's dinner that new page is. Will I bother to go on the R3 blog to comment? You bet your sweet life I won't. A pointless exercise as this is what they are going to do anyway......so why bother?

I really give up. I rarely listen to R3 and I rarely now bother to go to their website. It annoys the hell out of me having to reclick to display what they already displayed but then decide to remove.

Life is too short to waste anymore time on the BBC and how they have wrecked R3.
