    FORUM CLOSURE 10pm

Please note that the forum will close at 10.00pm on Friday 2 December for an upgrade. It's estimated that this will take about an hour.

It is possible that there will be some reversions to previous settings when we reopen. Please tell me of any changes you notice.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Just giving this a bump while people are around ...

      Bumpity Bumpity Bump.

That's one solution - I'll be, as usual, waiting anxiously to see if the forum reappears

I've got a loose one just about to fall off - would you mind doing that for me at the same time? I can fax it to you perhaps?

              Sew what?

My dad's term for the problem was always "my Russian friend: Iva Buttonoff"

              Sorry - wrong thread...

I do think a short prayer might be in order. One forum I know (not vBulletin) went down "for maintenance" a fortnight ago, and has yet to re-open.

Shall I throw some spoons in The Lady Chapel for good luck, I know how you Choir afficiandoes love the Anglo Catholics, perhaps, we could one time recite Latin in the Italianate and not the Public School open vowel version?

Closing any minute - and it may be 2 hours downtime!

                        Certainly does!

                        What's new?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

And many thanks to Andrew for carrying out the technical stuff - and to Mark for being around in California watching over the proceedings.

Btw, was there always a line just above the message? (I'm going to try a smiley - hang on)

Andrew's worked his socks off to bone up on how all this works. My hat comes off to him unreservedly. Great job! Thanks…
