    Additions to the forum team

It was pointed out to me that, for one reason or another, several of the forum hosts are no longer available for 'duty'; so after consultation with various others, I'm very pleased to say that ferney and Richard Tarleton have agreed to turn gamekeeper.

ferney will particularly be looking to keep the Hear&Now/New Music board supplied with interesting links/programme news, and RT will do something similar for Early Music (not forgetting the regular contributions from the indefatigable doversoul).

I should also say here that Andrew has for some while been slaving away behind the scenes ensuring that various upgrades will be in place so that the forum doesn't get taken off air (something to do with our providers and .php - whatever that means: please don't ask me!). I'm very grateful to all those who contribute and intend to contribute to make the forum useful and an enjoyable meeting place.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

That's quite a formidable team you've assembled, FF. If Ferney and Richard are the Reserves, the starters must be pretty damn good

        Oh pish and tush

But indeed ... great to have Ferney and RT on the team!

I don't think they're the reserves. We're all equal here.

              Congratulations!

I certainly find doversoul's contributions useful, and greatly assist in assembling a playlist for the Early music offerings on iPlayer, together with some YouTube links. However I have the impression, correctly or incorrectly, that threads on Early Music may be distributed over the boards in no particular order?

Look forward to Ferney breathing some life into the moribund H&N board.

Well, you won't have to now!

I don't think any of the 'team' should be thought of as 'in charge' of anyone else. They're there to oil the wheels and add value, not to 'control'. Of course, individual members need individual attention from time to time . We aim to have a broadly good-natured community - which doesn't mean always agreeing. But we should 'disagree nicely'.

And yesterday started out so well.... A great honour - thanks ff and Cali....Only just posting on this thread after a traumatic end to the day - A&E, Mrs T, fall, long story - but all as well as can be expected this morning, back home and taking it easy. Ambulance and A&E staff outstanding, needless to say. And I was amazed to learn that CT scans are bounced to Australia for analysis (from our hospital at any rate), with only a 3 hour delay....who knew? Some calming Dowland beckons....

To Richard and Ferney some power's been loosed.
