    P&CA board

Following a complaint that the latest thread was offensive and insulting the P&CA Board has once more been removed to the Basement. For those who wish to post on political subjects, this is the link. The board will be closed completely if it becomes aggressive and offensive.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Rather cryptically put, if you don't mind me saying so. Maybe it would be useful to give some clue as to what exactly was found offensive and insulting and to whom, otherwise how is/are the perpetrator(s) to know who they are and what they're supposed to have done wrong?

Frenchie may just conceivably have better things to do. I actually find your post rude, addressed peremptorily to someone who volunteers her time and energy to this Forum.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

It was intended to be friendly and helpful, not rude, and certainly not to cast any aspersions on the way the forum is run, as I would hope FF would understand, unlike yourself it seems, so I will thank you not to be rude and jump to unwarranted conclusions.

Anything written down, however innocent has a greater chance of causing offence, simply because the tone of the human voice cannot be reproduced on the page.

The merest glance at the first post on the thread in question should have left the poster, and you Richard, in no doubt what ff was referring to. Two swear words (the same one twice) and an insult. It's not funny, not clever and quite unnecessary.

I don't even know which thread you're talking about! - but this is getting silly. I'd like to ask whoever is responsible to please delete my account. I try to contribute thoughtfully and sincerely to this forum and apparently I don't know when I'm being rude.

What on earth are you on about?
When I looked the "latest thread" was started by Dave yesterday at 22:44
and contains the word "productivity" more than once

It also has the word "stuff" ..... ooer mrs

Or is it the use of the word "services" (in a non Cynthia Payne manner) that you find objectionable?

All of which effortlessly (if unwittingly) demonstrates why it's a good decision for the P&CA board to be in the basement for those that want it.

I sense the stress of the play offs and the bank holiday traffic kicking in.......

Grimes on the Beach has been far preferable to either
