See Andrew's comments too: despite adding the dates they didn't appear in the changed title on BO's original post or in the listing, but did when you clicked on the thread.
Looks like clearing the cache has sorted it.

Nothing to do with dash/hyphen/spaces!

It must have been a temporary glitch then as I only cleared the cache because you reported the thread as stuck. I was already seeing the corrected thread title this morning before I cleared it - hence my query.
