You click (intuitively - not!) on the subject title of the PM and you should get a reply window (scroll down to bottom of the page).
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Thanks, frenchie. Indeed, far from intuitive.

Currently up-to-date with the last one you at 16.54 with your avatar - instead of Bryn with RichardB's avatar. Can't guarantee it will change when I post though. I tried to find other people querying the mismatch between names and avatars but it seems only to happen here. Sporadically.

I'm going to turn off avatars for a few members who seem regularly to get allocated the wrong ones. I don't have much faith in my ability to correct things - it's like trying to gather up several bits of paper which are blowing around in a high wind and dropping other bits in the process.

I think the only cure is to clear the cache.

Oh, hello Andrew . I'll leave that to you, though I did see something under Maintenance > General Update Tools > Rebuild Custom Avatar Thumbnails, and wondered if that had anything to do with it. Turning off Member X's avatar (which was wrong) just allocated him another wrong one. I'll turn his avatar back on again.

It worked. For the moment the right avatar is against the right name .................

Sorry, as you were... but clearing the cache might clear all the problems in one go, unless I've misunderstood them.

Try it when you have time, then. The latest update still has it wrong.

Just done it. The non-musicians thread seems OK now

House Rules cannot be seen on my Android smartphone. As Bryn, I tend to use "What's New".

I tried access by "Forums" instead. "House Rules" appears subliminally in the top left corner of the screen and then disappears...?

My posts don't seem to be appearing.
Just testing to see if this one does or not.
                                Have I been banned too?

PS: No! I wonder what's happened on the Tchaikovsky BAL thread then?
