Which reminds me, many years ago the chap who rented the allotment next to mine liked to listen to the radio while he was working and had made a little stand to put his wireless on. A combination of having defective hearing(damaged at work) and not bothering to move the radio as he worked on different parts of the plot meant that I had little choice but to hear a great deal of local radio and assorted 'easy listening'.Comment

Walk along the street and most people are either wearing headphones or AirPods/earbuds (some are admittedly chatting on their phones). A smaller, but still significant, number are no more than walking zombies. No wonder people don't mind the current 'tune in/tune out' Radio 3 programming.
