I don't suppose that there's a little script that you (or A N Other) could write to run automatically each night to do the clearing in the background?
Maybe you have to be specific about where the traffic jam is!
It's probably easier to clear it reactively: there's no guarantee that clearing it daily will avoid any problems. Clearing is very quick and easy.
Unfortunately I'm depending on my phone at the moment and don't think it's worth the risk of accidentally doing something unintended when accessing tha admin control panel, so I can't realistically clear the cache at the moment, I'm afraid.
