For the record: links to the old Radio 3 messageboards

If anyone wants to refer to or remind themselves of content in the old Radio 3 boards, I think these links will remain functional:

    - Arts & Ideas
    - Breakfast
    - CD Review
    - The Choir
    - Jazz programmes
    - Performance
    - Platform 3
    - World Music Programmes

The following are two of the pre-2007 boards:

    - Classical Music on Radio 3
    - Speech & Drama

Here is another link to a deleted message board:

The best of the BBC, with the latest news and sport headlines, weather, TV & radio highlights and much more from across the whole of BBC Online

Thanks, Tragoedia. Was that board titled 'Classical Music'?

Gosh, tragoedia, that is from the PREVIOUS R3 BBC board back in 2007 when the first R3ok was set up (and that's been archived somewhere too).

It's the last gasp from the set of boards which were mainly ditched for the You-May-Not-Deviate-From-The-Topic-Prescribed ones, isn't it?, when the new schedule was introduced in Feb 2007. I think it started back when the dna boards were first introduced (was that 2005?). Some useful stuff, as well as nice to come face with some old friends.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

What seems to be my first post on that particular version of the BBC's message boards, replete with typo(s) appears to have some relvance to a contemporary discussion on these boards:

The best of the BBC, with the latest news and sport headlines, weather, TV & radio highlights and much more from across the whole of BBC Online

You may have to scroll up to the top of that page.

Heh, heh. My second post on the then newly revamped Radio 3 boards, in September of 2005, was posted long before I changed my screen name to that shown (see Anna's response further down the page for some evidence of the name I was actually posting under at that time).:

Yes, JW, there is much more but I can't be bothered to find it right now as I am filling my computer up with Schnittke.

Such a shame the BBC screwed up the old message boards.
