I think it may be a classic R3 mess-up, I wonder if its meant to be Saint-Saens' Africa op89 as that's about 11 minutes long. After all the 5th Piano Concerto is subtitled 'Egyptian' and Egypt is in Africa!Last edited by Suffolkcoastal; 25-04-24, 16:45.

While I`m glad to see there are 22 concerts being televised (live or deferred) it`s really disappointing to see that of that number, no fewer than 7 are pop/disco/DR Who type affairs. And earlier I was thnking back to the year when the Proms were cancelled due to Covid and R3 did a season of Proms from previous years back to 1987, and I wondered why they could`t mine their archives more regularly. Eg, a late night slot once or twice a month...
