    High class replacement though .
Indeed, and a fine, fine, fine recital just now from Seong-Jin Cho, with the encore duly archived, perhaps to mitigate EH's concern about value for £ :) . I didn't think to check the RAH's site to see how well the hall was sold, or if Sir A.'s cancellation caused a major turnback of tickets. It will also be interesting to see if the Korean-British community showed up like with S-JC's previous Prom, and also Yunchan Lim's Prom.

Many thanks also to Andrew Slater for kindly changing the Calendar Entry / thread header, as I was myself not able to edit the header (can edit the opening post contents, but not the title, once past a certain time point, FWIW).

Sorry to hear about Sir András - hope he makes a fast and full recovery!

Better to have a different recital than to try to find someone who can replicate the original concert at short notive, which I imagine would be easier said than done - this isn't some warhorse concerto. And it leaves it open for Schiff to return and play it in a future season if he's so inclined (assuming Sam Jackson hasn't decided that all future Late Night Proms will be Mindful Mixes).

Will have to listen to S-J Cho on Sounds. I wonder if they managed to print a programme?

I bought a ticket to this recital on 10th September on RAH website. At that time it was still billed as Sir A, and less than half of the hall were marked sold.

I am rather amazed that nobody appears to have commented on this Prom - I thought SJC was outstanding all round espcially in the Annees de Pelerinage . BBC were lucky to get sich a fne pianist at such short notice.
