It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Thank you LMcD and Thank you f f, perfectly prompt and precise! I have bookmarked the link for listening later.
I hate to even mention that I thought I'd had the luck to see again the televised Prom; I take it that it is audio only. I'm spoiled by the technology now available but perhaps it's too much for me to handle and I'm grateful for the chance to hear all of that outstanding Prom.

f f, I'm updating to say that I listened to your Sounds link, as well as the video sent by LMcD, which I coveted. I'm glad to say I found it well worth hearing, including as it did the interval discussion on Piano Trios, which covered quite a period. Thank you both, once again.

I recorded this Prom from my TV and look forward to revisiting it over the years.

I am catching up with my recording this being the 16th concert I've captured this season off R3 but jeez, thank god David Owen Norris didn't have to spar with Tom Service during the comments phase: the RAH defibrillator would have been investigated for lack of suitability, except it would have merely been incapable of reviving someone whose last breath was given to such showing off. Knowledge is power but at moments like this I wish for an outage.
