yep agreed . Just listening again to this fabulous performance. For some reason the Doctor Who did not appeal particularly - the massively over the top presentation.

I didn't realize that the population of Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole (which is now the name of the local authority) is over 400,000.

Yes, and Bournemouth also had a very knowledgeable Gramophone Society - one of the last and best around - which invited many guest speakers down, before (alas, as I fear from their silence these days) Covid did for it after 2020.
