    A later start: Monday 21st August, 20.00:

"The BBC Proms celebrates some of Stevie Wonder’s most iconic work with conductor Jules Buckley and his Orchestra, joined by Cory Henry: singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and keyboardist, for performances including Higher Ground, Living for the City and Don’t You Worry ’Bout a Thing.

"The impact of Stevie Wonder’s 1973 hit album Innervisions is still felt by musicians and listeners to this day. Part of a triumvirate of consecutive Grammy-winning albums, Innervisions highlighted Wonder’s genius work both as performer and studio producer." [RAH website]

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Stevie must have given the go-ahead for this, otherwise it couldn't have happened.

Confusion now I've amended my last. I've no idea whether there are seats available RAH site now suggests there are.

Superb Prom this featuring the amazingly talented Cory Henry . They’ve even got Stevie’s drummer Stanley Randolph who is something else. Also pushing 2 hours with no interval which is putting some of the short measure classical concerts this season to shame.

I listened to some of it in the car. Some interesting bits, marred by padding, time wasting and trying hard to be funny.

Agree wholeheartedly, EH. I'd never heard of Cory Henry; he was fantastic.

A packed & enthusiatic RAH. Cory was for several
years the star keyboardist of jazz-fusion outfit Snarky Puppy. We’d never heard him sing before, & were
struck by the vocal resemblance to Stevie.

Thank you for that, Mac. Does anyone have any thoughts on why it's not available to listen again yet?

Could be a rights issue or a technical problem. US commercial music is notoriously difficult and expensive to rights clear .

Not a clue, but the listing on Sounds inexplicably omits guest singers Laura Mvula, Lianne La Havas, Sheléa Frazier and Vula's Chorale. I suppose that'll be corrected when the programme becomes available...

I' know this was not to everyone's taste, but still no sign of Prom 48 being available to listen again.

I just checked - very strange! I wonder why not; copyright issues?

As EH intimated, clearance denied 'post ipso facto' probably, which begs the question why wasn't it sorted in advance of the concert?
