I hope the Beeb hasn’t attached Sullivan’s The Last Chord to cover the missing Mozart coda.

No, as has happened many, many times previously, the automated edit had been readdressed by human hands a day or so following the initial automated upload. That said, very occasionally the iPlayer/Sounds team has had to be prompted into action. I did not check before the replacement edit was uploaded, this time, but in the past, the missing end of a late finish could be found at the start of the follow-on programme on the iPlayer/Sounds. Employing get_iplayer, Yamb and mp3directcut, I used, sometimes, to sort the edit out myself, only to find the Beeb's staff have sorted it themselves in a day or so. I now always give it few days to see if such problems get resolved in-house.

I enjoyed catching up with this on BBC Sounds - I did not know the enjoyable Romanian Concerto which seemed to have plenty of vim to me . K488 was sensitively played but to my ears a fortepiano does struggle in that acoustic. A highly enjoyable Jupiter to end .

I am afraid that magnificentlt played as it was by Isabelle Faust - as on Pat Kop's recording the Ligeti VC leaves me cold - for a child of the 1970s the arrival of the Clangers in the middle of the work just makes me laugh.
