              Shame
I might even have thought you could be voted for :ho ho:

Yes, people who abuse other people, children or adults are a serious threat indeed.
But I wouldn't trust politicians to really give a toss about it

(one of my projects this week was at a residential school for some of the most seriously disturbed young people we have in the UK, not that anyone in power really gives a toss about them becoming healthy adults, BUT the people who really know about these things have a very small voice indeed)

Farage is still a prize twat
and I can't see how anyone can take him remotely seriously ???

The lib Dems strike me as not only utterly unprincipled but completely out of touch with reality . Simon Hughes for example whose hypocrisy since becoming a minister at the MOJ has been breathtaking . For example he opposed legal aid cuts when on the backbenches but now is Grayling's cheerleader and boasting about the tiniest tinkerings at the edges .

I totally agree Barbs - the Simon Hughes I once had a lot of time for has become one of the biggest apologists for the Condems of all of them.

                    UKIP WINS 'MAJOR PARTY' RULING

                    BROADCASTING UKIP
                    Mar 3, 2014 4:26:11 PM

The United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) has been given a boost after watchdog Ofcom ruled that it should be treated as a major party in England and Wales by broadcasters covering this year's European elections.

The decision means UKIP will be given the same status as the Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats for election broadcasts and news coverage of the May 22 contest.

But UKIP's limited support in Scotland means it will not have to be treated as a major party by broadcasters north of the border or in news coverage focusing solely on Scottish constituencies.

UKIP director of communications Patrick O'Flynn said: "This Ofcom decision was a fairly obvious one given the success of UKIP over the past few years. We hope that all broadcast outlets will reflect on the fact that patterns of support in British politics are changing very quickly and that more and more people are supporting and voting for UKIP.

"It makes no sense for patterns of coverage to be based on patterns of electoral support that pertained four years ago. Ukip is a major player in British politics now."

The Ofcom ruling means that broadcasters transmitting party election broadcasts on a UK or Great Britain-wide basis, such as Channel 5 in the European parliamentary elections, will be obliged to treat Ukip as a major party, in the same way they would the Tories, Labour or Lib Dems.

STV will not be required to treat Ukip as a major party for the purposes of broadcasting Scotland-only party election broadcasts because Nigel Farage's party has "low levels of support" in the country, Ofcom said.

But ITV Wales will have to treat Ukip as a major party due to the "significant levels of support" there.

The Ofcom rules state that "due weight must be given to the coverage of major parties during the election period" and there must be "due impartiality".
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
