She doesn't say that she's moving to the private sector but one can only assume that she's either doing that or giving up altogether.

Surely some of the large 'payments' to barristers that the govt quotes....are actually not always just to the barristers themselves ....they are shared - firstly there are office staff, cost of chambers (offices to us folk) and all other expenses to be paid etc etc.....the BBCs coverage of this very lack lustre....

I should say! Though no more lacklustre than over most things. Nearly half the final part of this morning's Toady was given over to the most slapdash "evaluation" imaginable of Nigeria's social, economic and political prospects for becoming (according to whom was never made clear) Africa's top state aspiring for business capital of that continent. It was just Evan Davies or one of his sidekicks talking to various seemingly self-chosen representatives, with no historical or otherwise expert opinion brought on to shed light on the broad brush opinions expressed - on the one hand "the people there" are very entrepreneurial, one only had to stand in the street market to see that, on the other there's a lot of corruption, though at least some of it is positive, whatever that was supposed to mean; and no one thought to consider the environmental impacts the sort of uninhibited development being compared with China's would have.

He turns off his phone and gets a plate of spaghetti bolognese and a Coke Zero and sits in front of his 85-inch television, alone in his 14,000-square-foot palace. "That's as good as it gets for me," he says.
