    Hypocrisy knows no bounds ?

    :ok:

I was sent this today , following on from seeing the news (history being rewritten ?)

Mandela will die soon. Today, tomorrow, this week, next week, next month, this year. It wont be long. Remember this, he out-lived Thatcher. When Cameron latches on the Mandela bandwagon this week remember that in 1985 he was a top member of the Federation of Conservative Students, who produced the “hang Mandela” posters. In 1989 Cameron worked in the Tory Policy Unit at Central Office and went on a anti-sanctions fact finding mission to South Africa with pro-apartheid Lobby Firm that was sponsored by Botha. Remember this when he tells the world he was inspired by Madiba.
Forgiveness is something that only some people can manage though many can aspire to it :peacedove:

I am alone in being a little outraged in the front of Davey in him going to Mandela's funeral ?
I know he likes to think he was elected but given his parties history with regard to South Africa I think it would be more respectful if he stayed away and sent someone in his place.

Where to start with the outrage, where to start?

I think that , at a personal level, some other emotion or response is more useful, though outrage is hard to avoid.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

A BBC interviewer pointing this out to Cameron would to some extent be an assuagement, for me at any rate.
