no, I think the real thing with Israel is that they don't mind people knowing that they have nukes, they just don't want people to know how many they have.
Some people say they only have 75 warheads, which is just childs play, while other people think they have 400, which is maybe what they need to ....er...in case.....um,....so that..... oh, go on, remind me , I forgot.
( China has an estimated 240 warheads.)I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Well, Mr GG, if you personally had between 75 and 400 nuclear warheads, (and you were good chums with Mr Obama) you would STILL do everything by the book, right?
you know, parking legally, tax return on time, no infringements of PRC rules, and so on.....
I expect there is a pithy latin phrase that the legal guys can supply to cover this.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Am51 wrote of the Taleban that "they are not deterred by your scorn and complacency and your name-calling". If indeed they were deterred by it - or indeed by anything else - they would have to know about it and to fear it sufficiently for it to discourage them from action that they might otherwise take; if on the other hand they were not deterred by something, that could mean either that they have no knowledge of it or that they would know about it but not be discouraged from taking action as a consequence of such knowledge. That seems pretty straightforward to me.
One might think that it's time for another referral to the Plain English Campaign in that, were you to be referred thereto, you might find help towards a better understanding of Plain English; however, in the interim and regardless of that, it is time to unhook the thread from your pernickety pedantry, let am51's point stand and then move the discussion forward constructively.Last edited by ahinton; 18-11-13, 09:44.
