people with power and influence who do bad things with their position are deserving of far harsher treatment than the (more or less) powerless who do bad things.

The guys at the top are quick enough to defend their privileged positions on the basis that they are acting the guardians of our society, values etc...

The arms industry (on ALL sides) is one of the world's great evils, and it barely rates a mention in the press.

Keir Starmer made his reputation with me by the inordinate TIME he took to deliver justice....often having to take a second look.....eg ian Tomlinson....

I wasn't aware the the DPP was under investigation for anything, never mind been found guilty.

If you are aware of FACTS to the contrary, feel free to being it to our attention; but I fear you will simply throw around yet more generalised "everybody rich and powerful is a criminal" student politics nonsense.

So their argument is right, but they are not morally justified in making it?

don't be a dick (I know it's hard for you)
It's obvious to me that this kind of "policy" is simply trying to desperately gain support from the kipper nutters who would like nothing better than public executions

Don't forget your mate Clegg. He's just nicked UKIP's manifesto policy of taking the relative low-paid workers out of income tax altogether!!

I'm disappointed that you feel that redistributing the nation's wealth more sensibly is a thing to be laughed at. Not everybody is well-off like forum members.

I respect your Mike Peters political analysis, but I must say you're wrong here.

                          Some people collect stamps
                          Some people watch birds
Some people go to the opera
Some people like to follow a football team
Some people like to play fantasy politics

Better to spend your valuable energy on obscure electronica than daft politics (of all flavours) IMV

I never said your politics are daft. And I'm just waiting for the bathroom to become available, so I'm hardly spending valuable energy.
