Excuse my ignorance, amateur. I looked it up: The Reverend Pat Storey will become the Most Reverend Pat Storey on enthronement. Then she will be known as The Most Rev Pat Storey Bishop of Meath and Kildare. ( There are only two other Most Revs in the CoI, both archbishops)
Her see is in the Republic of Ireland. Partition is not an issue. Nor, says Pat Storey, is gender, for her. Nor is it for this Pat.
I don't know whether she will keep the less formal Pat, rather than Patricia; hence the attempted humour of 'Padraigin'.

                Fair cop guv.

On the subject of Rev Pat Storey - well, her present church, St. Augustine's in Derry - here is an interesting development.

Environment Minister Mark H Durkan announces an extension to an archaeological dig in Londonderry that uncovered 13 skeletons last week.

I am going up there now, and if I meet the Rev Storey, I'll give her your regards!

It looks as though England is catching up now

General Synod votes in favour of proposals to bring women into episcopate by overwhelming majority

Fingers still crossed - at least some of those who voted for the proposals are reserving judgement on how they will decide in the final vote. But Mr Cameron's in support ...
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Another nail in Cameron's coffin if the Tory Party ever decides to punish him for 'gay marriage' AND women Bishops.

                      Fingers crossed indeed.

Unless these get him a large slice of the female vote next time around (which I nevertheless doubt will be the case).

Yes, the does all this make it any more likely that God exists?

God did exist; He was born in Eisenach and died in Leipzig.

But surely the music lives on!
                              So, God DOES exist.

The UK and Ireland's first woman bishop is installed by the Anglican Church at a service in Dublin on Saturday.
