The above first post, as it previously stood, is obviously silly. Who put it there? It certainly wasn't me? I didn't create this thread. I didn't give it the present title. Now who can have done this?

It's a quote from a running discussion which had digressed to discussion firstly of gay matters, and then to other topics.

JLW cast the first stone with Tchaikovsky:

There may be some flat-earthers who say, "oh but we don't know for sure he was gay..." but that wouldn't matter even if it were true. Tchaikovsky's life story needs to be fully told to be fully understood.

You could have just made this a new post on the other homophobia thread, but no, you had to launch a new one.

But that also is in another thread, standing as the first post and also makes little sense.

Mr Pee's objections raised various other concerns and then we had:

I do sense a relentless opportunism which can become tedious. This is a Radio 3 forum and I would far rather hear Bryn praising Roger Norrington or JLW on the merits of high resolution downloads than issues better debated elsewhere.

Alpen cannot resist making unjustified (in my view) acid comments about Gove so I thought this just a tad hypocritical.

The comments which followed had nothing whatever to do with the "OP" - whichever that was - and careered off into a new direction (in my view).

(I didn't understand the second comment anyway, and that itself would have led to a different discussion)
