For someone who professes so little interest in its subject matter, he has certainly made a shedload of contributions to it. One is moved to ask oneself why.

It may not be the same interest as am51 and others but I am moved to contribute nonetheless. I suppose I never cease to be surprised at the number of times the gay "community" like to paint themselves as an oppressed minority, when of course these days they are generally anything but.

Most fortunately, that community (and please do not use those entirely superfluous and offensive inverted commas to try to encapsulate it for yourself) is indeed far less so than was once the case (at least in UK) but I would have thought and hoped that you'd recognise that all is far from well on that front internationally (especially in Russia, for example).

I have little doubt that there is much knowledge that you are uncertain about wishing to have but, to give you the benefit of that doubt, I recommend that you read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT, from which you should be able to learn something.
