But in yet another effort to return to the topic(!) I note that the thread has exceeded 700 posts without anyone having yet said anything on the subject of musicals about homophobia; I'm unaware of any by the Gershwins, Rodgers and Hammerstein or ditto and Hart, Porter and Kern seem to have eschewed the topic and even Bernstein and Sondheim appear to have steered well clear of it, but if anyone has any more recent examples then perhaps they should be introduced into the discussion.
