I wouldn't have thought any of those things, actually. If you send me an email to sorabji-archive@lineone.net I'd be happy to respond to it by giving you an opportunity to decide for yourself, should you so wish!

You're more than welcome; they don't make 'em like that any more - but let's hope they do again...

A very pertinent point indeed; an amazing thing, selectivity, n'est-ce pas?...

Sadly it would mean very little to me, ahinton - but many thanks for the offer.

Really? I meant an m4a file of a performance rather than a .pdf of the score!...

Ah, I wondered if this might have been what you had in mind but wasn't quite sure. This is the Australia that might well become a republic in the not too distant future, I take it; whilst its present premier appears less enthused about such a prospect than was his immediate predecessor, severing its ties with Britain has been on the cards for quite some time now and, who knows, if Scotland chooses independence next year, that change might act as something of a spur for those Australians who favour a republican future for their country (it could in any case spearhead other such changes as well, especially if Wales ultimately follows suit and the very notion of Britain comes into question).

Anyway, enough about that (especially in this thread); the distinction between what Mr Pee believes can be said by Brits about Australian affairs and the extent to which he believes they should keep their noses out of Russia's is indeed no doubt what accounts for his difference of attitude, unless I've missed something here in which case he will doubtless respond accordingly. I wonder (albeit only en passant) what he thinks about the extent of our entitlement to comment on the affairs of Ukraine or indeed any other country that's seeking to join EU (and he presumably believes that, as citizens of an EU member nation, Brits can openly say what they like about other EU nations' affairs een if not about those of Russia)...

Crikey, talk about making a mountain of words out of a molehill. I posted a link to a Telegraph article, reporting on a rare outbreak of common sense and reality amidst all the gay marriage nonsense. That is all.

Unlike the homosexualist lobby and their fellow-travellers on these boards, I did not suggest boycotting an international sporting event, raise a petition demanding that the legislation be reversed, or indulge in any other hysterical over-reaction demanding that a sovereign nation cow-tow to Western liberal demands when they have no reason whatsoever to do so.

                    Simple.

Huff and puff, huff and puff.

You're quite happy with demanding the overturn of Marine A's Court Martial decision even before it was known, however.,

I note your use of 'crikey'. Knowing what a fastidious person you are about the use of swear words etc, I wonder if you knew that 'crikey' is a euphemism for Christ? And if that would affect your subsequent usage.

It isn't. You did the former but not the latter.

Who cares what you did or did not do; it's hardly of relevance to the topic.
