As nice an example of homosexual panic as I've seen in a long time - so brave.

I think this entire board is going to disappear from sight in the next few days. It does little credit to the forum.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

In order for a sense of humour to suffer a failure, there would have needed to be some humour there in the first place.

Of which, in your posts being referred to, there was none.

I agree, it's a shame. However I hope that the activities of a few puerile adults of the heterosexual persuasion will not be taken as a reason for blocking this sort of topic in future.

Well you say that, but actually Chingford (formerly Norman Tebbit's constituency) is an enclave of whiteness compared with the rest of Waltham Forest. When I was living in E17 a few years ago I had the chance to visit the summer fairs in Walthamstow and Chingford on successive weeks, and, while the former was indeed as diverse as you'd expect, I didn't see a single non-white face at the latter, and indeed a few of the faces I did see were attached to people of the neo-Nazi variety. For what it's worth.

And that the relentless drive by a few puerile adults of the homosexual persuasion to take over these boards with homosexualist propaganda will not be encouraged.

Thanks for exemplifying my use of the term 'puerile'

Absolutely, before I started posting on these boards I was a happily married heterosexual man
now, sadly, due to the relentless "homosexualist propaganda" i'm batting for Darrington

Notwithstanding your suspicions (which, for all I know, may not be entirely unfounded but it's hardly for me to say one way or the other), the apparent fact that you've been "snapped up years ago" (a phrase which might make some wonder by whom or what) is hardly of significance here...

Whoever he was or might otherwise have been, he wouldn't be anything "these days". That said, the number of young Parsi boys born in Chingford in 1892 whose fathers went on to marry bigamously and who had already married their mothers bigamously was probably relatively small, methinks...

Fair comment, though the connection with that thread topic seems remarkably tenuous...

And since I, for one, am not one of such persuasion, Mr Pee, don't you think that you ought to cast the net of your supererogatory illogicality somewhat farther?

I hope very much that nothing in this thread has "destroyed" your marriage or its happiness in the way that one contributor thereto has repeatedly sought to assert that the new same sex marriage legislation has done not only for you but for the rest of us heterosexuals; that said, can you explain to an ignoramus like me what "batting for Darrington" means?
