I cannot say but that does not in any way alter the fact that only the results of a reliable and verifiable inspection (assumoing that one could be conducted by UN or indeed anyone else) will be vital for any realistic and credible assessment of the situation ever to emerge.

Ah, Tweety-Pie. Always wanted my own pet stalker.

You know, there is one thing, Tweety Pie, that I can rely on and that is that you pick, pick away ...like someone digging at a scab.....but most of the time you are talking complete and utter bollocks.

            2. Syrian government, who launched the attack but I cannot see why they would do this.
            3. the Isrealis, desperate to avoid the government winning the war and strengthening the Iran, Syria, Hezbollah alliance.
I had hoped to find some intelligent discussion on this terrifying development; instead the "discussion" mainly seems to be personal needling. I really despair when I read this sort of thing. It discourages me from reading the political threads on this forum.

I will just make this comment. Statement 3 above seems bizarre. From what I read, Israel hopes, so far as Syria-Israel relations are concerned, for a continuation of the present Syrian regime, with which there has been a peaceful though uneasy coexistence for all these years. Israel would be much more concerned with the government losing the war, raising the prospect of another fundamentalist regime on its doorstep. Also, the last thing that Israel would want to do would be to encourage the use of chemical weapons in this part of the world, to which it is very vulnerable.

Isreal has already overtly intervened once in this war when it bombed a government arsenal in damascus a couple of months ago and hezbollah involvement in the war on the side of assad must be alarming to the the isrealis since hezbolah is iranian backed, militarilly very accomplished and their involvement may spread the war into lebanon which islreal definately does not want. So taking out the syrian government and trying to influence who replaces assad might be their policy.

Creepy message ? No not really. In your imagination perhaps.

Let's just take a step back shall we.

Here is a thread started to discuss Syria and to which I responded. You then stumble on the thread and launch into a personal attack on me. Ahinton responds quite reasonably and rises to my defence (and for which Ahinton my thanks). Yet again, you come back in with another personal attack on me. Ahinton again responds in my defence. And again you come back in on the attack. This happens time and time again from you and also from Flosshilde across all threads. ff has asked you on numerous occasions to refrain from this continual sniping and yet you continue to do so. On any other forum such bullying behaviour (for that is exactly what it is) would result in a temporary ban.

                      Why do you do it?

Nice try - pick on the victim and invoke Matron. I

I'd just say that this isn't the first time you've sent me dodgy PMs - you have form. I'm not saying any more on here because I'd find it tedious to read this about other people.- people can PM me if they want to.

Just answer the damn question. I shall repeat it here.

"Why do you do it?" ...now what part of that sentence do you have difficulty in understanding?

And here comes Troll Number 2. Having had one attack, you just thought you might as well come along and have another crack. Pathetic.

Agreed. According to news articles it was to target some very sophisticated Russian anti-aircraft missiles en route to Hezbolah. It's funny how Russia just keeps on supplying hi-tech weaponry.
