When it was announced on the radio that she'd 'gone into labour...' my reaction was that it's the closest she'll get to work for the rest of her life.

I laughed when BBC TV lunchtime news went to a hot-looking Simon McCoy at the Bingo Wing at St Mary's and all he said was "at the moment there is absolutely no news". Alas they didn't go directly to an 'Only Fools & Horses' re-run on that basis, but proceeded to reveal the hollowness of 'The News' by talking about 'absolutely no news' for 20 minutes. At least, I imagine they did, I switched off."...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Calibs your OP made me wish for a Republican button on the BBC, we're going to need it in the coming days. They could do it via the Red Button, like choosing your match at Wimbledon.
