"The Pentagon insisted the Department of Defense was not seeking to block the whole website, merely taking steps to restrict access to certain content."

    One sees ...
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

        Very telling.
I am however trying to get my head round the idea of lots of GI's settling down for a good old read of the Guardian as part of their "Downtime" schedule.
        Whatever, very bad.

XTC did a great song about book burning.

          Very silly indeed.

Thank (insert appropriate construct) we, ie GB and I, do not suffer similar interference, as far as we know.

we probably do get such interference, and we might not know.
In any case , where the yanks go we follow.

The ruling classes are now exceptionally arrogant. WE must hope they become complacent. I think this may happen.

hmmm it is unavailable at work, but may well be readily accessed on personal machines .... now they probably think that it is banned because of some hot pics and read it every day ...

is the Graun becoming a trusted global rag like the FT and WSJ?
According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

Our very own BT sent me an old [20th June] email from a cousin, headed in red, BLOCKED IMAGES. It kindly said I could access them if wished. I did wish - it was all about what young cousin had done to plant out her new rockery.

Words [almost] fail me :yikes: What's going on ????

Or perhaps a mention of a nursery in Scun thorpe selling unusual alpines (there is one - http://mendlenursery.co.uk/ ), or mention of the Great Tits visiting the garden?
