I don't read Motor Sport, I read F1 Racing Magazine.

And what the heck is Mivvi Monthly???

Or maybe it's a magazine for Ice Lolly afficionados:-

Although why Amateur would think I am a fan I have no idea.

I believe Mr Pee it has to do with the humourous idea that it is your employment to sell icecreams at the theatre....I believe it is a mild insult....

Ah.....yes. Of course. Once again amsy's sledgehammer wit has passed me by......besides which, selling Ice Creams is not part of my remit.

Whilst I am sure you can barely contain your feelings of smug self-satisfaction at the news that two suspects have been released, I am more encouraged that two are still in detention. A temporary loss of liberty for two innocent individuals- if indeed they turn out to be so in the long term- will be a small price to pay for the capture of two terrorists.

                  Possibly so
So do you also consider the imprisonment and killing of other innocent citizens a "small price to pay" ?

                    And:-

Two men appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court charged with terror offences following a police operation.

Still think it was all a publicity stunt?

I thought you said that you were going to wait until it was all over? So far two men have been charged. They've not been through court yet; the CPS hasn't screwed up the prosecution; all sorts of things might happen.

I must say that for the Met to hold two men for over 120 hours when apparently the two men have been apparently under close surveillance for a long time in rather remarkable.

                      Let's see what transpires.

And just as I eschewed a personal and triumphalist tone in my message #891, I wish you'd behave in an adult fashion and do the same, Mr Pee.

You think that; I do not, for the reasons I elucidated in an earlier post, to which your response was simply: "Oh dear."

And if you had actually read the article I linked to, rather than just skimming the headline, you would have seen that six properties and two cars were searched as part of the operation. Such searches take time, as does the processing and evaluation of any evidence recovered in those searches.

I don't know where you think I am being triumphalist. Personal, yes, because of your hair-brained theory that this whole operation was somehow cooked up as a publicity stunt to make MI5 look good.

You've not quite got all my point but a fair effort. Precisely why you think it is hare-brained you don't say, unless you're making just another snide comment.

Don't you think that they would be likely to have plenty of evidence to arrest before they did so? Or else these suspects were about to move into active attack mode, so arrest was vital - but again there is no evidence of this that's been presented so we don't know. To spend nearly a week searching six properties and two cars sounds suspiciously like a fishing expedition.

                          We'll see.

Well if it was a fishing expedition, they caught two fish, didn't they?

Meanwhile, yet more indication of the damage done by the reckless behaviour of The Guardian.

When will that newspaper be properly dealt with over this? To my mind, it is infinitely worse than anything of which News International papers have been accused.
