I remember Lionel Jefferies telling the story of how, when he was in a restaurant in the States, a man obviously wearing a hairpiece approached him very aggressively and asked whether he (LJ) was intending to make fun of him :erm:It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. I think one reason for such widespread obesity, and apparent indifference to it, is that you cant solve it by spending money. Money will buy you a hairpiece, dye your grey hairs or fix your teeth, but the only ways to reduce obesity, other than the very unpleasant-sounding option of a gastric band operation, are to eat less and/or exercise more. Neither seems very attractive to the average overweight American (or Brit, for that matter, you dont have to go all the way to NY to see fat people, there are plenty in my local supermarket).

they really cannot wait to get healthcare on a PAYG basis.
Incidentally, NHS issues should be on Platform 3 IMO.
It is just so important, especially when you have idiots like summerton trying to take one of the more civilised things about the UK away from the many, for the financial benefit of the few.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
I am not a number, I am a free man.
