Well, I don't think anyone has actually claimed they will ...

The coalition allies have always insisted that a lasting peace can only come about by way of the Afghans themselves so it's merely stating the already blindingly obvious to everyone concerned.

However, the alternative to the use of drones is not peace but probably even more civilian deaths in the longer term. Take your unenviable pick.

How quickly you forget what the murderers of Lee Rigby said about the West murdering Muslims in Muslim lands like Pakistan.

Please tell me you're not trying to even slightly justify or excuse that appalling act..please tell me that....

Pee, don't you get it? If they can't do well under this order, instead of redoubling their efforts, they try to bring it down

I didn't think even MrPee was so stupid as to confuse understanding the reasons why something might have happened with thinking that it was a good idea :yikes:
The fact that "the west" in the form of the UK and USA (mainly) has been responsible for the deaths of many innocent people is one of the key things that makes a tiny tiny minority of people do terrible things in the name of retribution. Pretending that somehow this isn't the case is simply foolish and naive. Pretending that it's somehow ok to kill people by remote control "by mistake" in the name of a "war on terror" BUT it's somehow morally different to kill someone with your hands rather than by sitting in front of a computer screen or with a high technology weapons system is also very naive and dangerous.
Lying about the effects of ones actions (the rhetoric of our politicians being a case in point) is simply dishonest.

What makes you think that Mr Pee? - there doesn't appear to be a thought process to follow :yikes:

Did the murderers mention anything about the tens of thousands of Muslims killed by other Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq during the last 20 years? Or are those statistics not part of their Islamic education/conversion?
