I don't usually play the "quote and agree" game we see quite often on here, and, like Mary earlier, I've been selective for space reasons - but in this case I can't help but simply reiterate.

A factual, fair and balanced post, with which it would be hard to disagree.

Being an "expert machine gunner" means that one is highly accomplished at killing people
I'm not suggesting for one minute that everyone in the forces is an evil monster but to expect
people to NOT think that somehow that some lives are more important than others would be
hard to believe given the way in which some people talk .........

I sought to convey pretty much the same sentiments in my post above; I don't see Simon's / Mr Pee's as missing the point altogether, but the one nevertheless covers (and the other seeks to endorse) only one aspect of what is clearly a far wider issue than either suggests.
