I suppose it is political to point out that the new government will have a majority with approx. 25% of the electorate voting for it, but unions will need 40% of the electorate to vote for a strike to defend their pay and conditions.

What puzzles me is how as a political numty, my sense of what the result was going to be was more accurate than either the opinion polls or for that matter the famous exit poll. I think it was the EdStone that ... ahem... cemented my view.
