I am not personally desperate to get back on topic although I think that it would be good if the thread topic were indeed re-established for subsequent discussion in this thread.

It was MrGG who initially mentioned string players in this thread but, since you ask, the answer to your question is yes - well, it's about ten minutes short of that, actually, so "nearly" is correct; it has never yet been performed in front of an audience of militant students at Warwick, though....
