Have you? So you were born on a Thursday, then. Well, if you have so far to go, why not start on your journey now? Bye, then!

Being part of the group of members who'd much rather search for facts rather than the received fiction (the huge majority I'm sure!), I've just undertaken an interesting little forum study, which excludes this particular thread for obvious reasons.

Here are the the quite stunning and astonishing results:

Number of members' current Last Words recorded on the P&CA threads within the last three calendar months in strict order of numerical merit:

Good Morning, visualnickmos ... what a really great idea! In fact I'll be going out very shortly as I tend to do every day, hail, rain or shine.

If you wish a brief résumé of my normal daily activities I'd be delighted to supply these on request. I'm sure that'll make for a riveting read and, of course, much critical discussion on this forum. I'm already looking at curbing my wholly unwarranted enthusiasm for Bruckner as that clearly upsets Flosshilde.

Hope you had a good night's rest after your invaluable, in-depth, late-night contribution.

          Many thanks!

And is your ability to go out in all weathers a result of the "discipline" you learnt at school from wearing fancy dress every day ?

Of course ... I still wear my adored 1950's blazer and cap with pride, Mr GongGong ... and in good weather my short-trousers as well!

It certainly doesn't upset me - but I really don't see the connection between Bruckner and what's under discussion here - or even what should be...

Never have I wanted one of Mr Pee's favourite animated vomiting emoticons more than I do now.

Dear me ... what a truly horrid thing to say about me wearing my smart school uniform, though I do agree that Mr Pee's admirably robust contributions are sadly missed indeed. :ok:

I like making in-depth late night contributions! I look forward to your résumé, with relish (or mustard...) Where are you off to today? The hills, the hills...

with Bruckner hammering its way out of your iPod... no doubt! Ah, but which version? And that goes for whichever symphony you choose.

Ipod's are too expensive and restrictive for my liking, visualnickmos, so therefore I am the proud possessor of an Android Nexus 7 (2013), instead.

No hills or Bruckner today, I'm afraid. Rather I've just been listening to the fifth movement in Deryck Cooke's performing version of Mahler's Tenth which is a great favourite of mine, though I'm not generally a huge Mahler fan, tbh. (yet). I have a decided passion for large-scale works, though I would certainly draw the line at, say, Der Ring des Nibelungen.

Hope that's okay with Flosshilde ... :winkeye:

Make a run for it if he ever offers you one of his Werther's Originals, Flossie
