Great to be in agreement with you for a second time, visualnickmos!

The article is indeed UTTER AND TOTAL TOSH.

I also unusually agree with amateur51 when he refers to those who have (or fear they have the disease in question) and who then have the further indignity of opening their newspapers and reading such personally offensive bilge.

It has not been a good day for those living with prostate cancer. They are also told in the Daily Wail that the common drug used to treat the condition 'may' increase the risk of a heart attack ...

Maybe it might ... and maybe also a career in tacky journalism might well include an greater risk?

    All nothing but speculative balderdash.

No, but I don't do it very often  (or should it be ?)

          Quite so.

          However ...

However, it's either poor journalism or, as I suspect, a poor press release from the science team as a similar rehash was also carried by The Times because the article and/or study seems to raise as man questions as it does answers.

If ejaculations minimise the risk of prostate cancer then there is one alternative method that is not mentioned. A glaring omission IMO. At least, it does mean that GoongGung, Flosh-hilda, Hinton, TeamSaint and Amsy are guaranteed never to get prostate cancer. !

Two from your list aren't wankers, and one is only a wanker when he's not talking about music, so what are you on about?.

Ask not what he's on about; ask what he's on (or, better still, don't bother to ask at all).

That his absurd and irrelevant (to the topic) list was created arbitrarily in the absence of knowledge of whether anyone on it might already have prostate cancer surely speaks volumes for itself; as Richard wisely advised, don't feed the troll.

I don't know who Richard wisely is, so I shan't be taking any advice from him (he sounds posh, anyway).

Then you haven't read the thread in its entirety with sufficient care; I did not use upper case W in "wisely" and it is perfectly clear that I was referring to Richard Barrett who, if you check, counselled not to feed the troll. I do not think that he would take kindly to your description of him as "posh", but that's none of my business, of course!

Just out of no real interest at all, have you spelt/typed "wink" correctly in the present context, do you think?...

'Shortcuts' in G(uardian)2 has done it for me; apparently, for men who sleep with men having more than 20 partners doubles the risk. Still, as the research & conclusions seem to be not worth bothering about, perhaps I shouldn't worry too much.

Just to return to consideration of the thread topic (such as it may be) from a different angle, I might suggest that it's hard to pay for a round when asleep...

                                Or perhaps you should ...

I understand from impeccable sources (no, not the Guardian) that nasty "undercover" Jesuits, posing as bed-hopping homosexualists, have long been operating (most reportedly in the Glasgow area) in a vile effort to ensnare their poor, unsuspecting victims into forced religious conversions.

So you could well end up with some other very nasty disease, Flosshilde ... :ok:
