I also heard (in the same item) people complaining how immigrants jumped the queue for social housing which is simply NOT true
Like the 75% of laws nonsense

Then we have UKIP et al who come along claiming to be the voice of the 'ordinary' Brit, or something to that effect, and yet - and this is the problem - espousing all the attitudes and policies that are so totally the antitheses of those British qualities and virtues and definitely not the typical British way. I can't fathom it....

[QUOTE=visualnickmos;444732]Can't begin to imagine why. Oh - maybe it's because you believe that because someone is gay, they should have less rights than people who are not gay. Simple, really.
... which they almost certainly are, if they believe the crap spouted UKIP and the tabloid press (assuming they can read at least a little)
Lord alone knows what this is about?????

Why do you think that political correctness is about insulting people, or not insulting people? It's about corralling people into the state-defined world-view. Sort your underpants out.

Originally posted by Beef Oven! View PostYou mention the Green Party. It will be interesting to see how well they do. Since Blair, there has really only been a centre-right government in this country, that facilitates big business and elites. The Greens are the only serious socialist alternative. Will they be able to get the votes of the people who are socialists, first and foremost?

Interesting (if not particularly original!) observations from Mr David Lammy MP.
If the Metropolitan Liberal (pseudo-Marxist) Elite and their PC fellow-travellers are unable to listen to the genuine concerns of some labelled as the 'indigenous white working-class' maybe they'll manage to grasp the somewhat blindingly-obvious comments from a non-indigenous member of their own Elite, instead?

Of course whether the MP who posted the photo knew it or not
She appears to have, and by some bizarre random process, found someone who fits all the 'stereotypes'
aaah
but we aren't supposed to "mock" this man as he is speaking for the ordinary (hard working, cage fighting, child beating) "working class" of Engurluuuund

I know it's difficult for you and the PC crowd to grasp, MrGongGong, but, in a true democracy, one is entitled to express quite reasonable views even if these are anathema to the Metropolitan Liberal (pseudo-Marxist) Elite ...
I actually don't find anything particularly "offensive' in any of Mr Daniel Ware's quite daring and radical Manifesto even though, following further study and reflection, I might not subscribe to all of it, though certainly some parts appear instantly attractive, I have to say.
Whilst I'm naturally shy and very loathe to give others advice, I do think you shouldn't quite dismiss it out of hand, as you appear to do, MrGongGong.
In fact Mr Ware's proposed policies are so admirably 'politically incorrect' that I, as a passionate pro-European', would nonetheless just like to offer the gentleman my very hearty congratulations and even, if given the opportunity, give him one mighty big and shamelessly heterosexual hug!
