By concluding on unspelt out issues of "culture" that article ends with its cart in front of its horse. Knowing the advantages to business and tax income, coupled with lower incomes and conditions rejected by indigenous workers, all this puts a mixed slant on immigration that plays all too easily into the hands of UKIP or worse. We just have to keep banging on about capitalism not being a healthy system if it continues to depend on exploitation, wherever, while all the time undermining legitimate worker concerns and scapegoating foreigners. Then we can decide on whether our next symphony is going to be serial, stochastic, or in C major.
