I liked these thoughtful comments from Daniel Barenboim, someone who remains optimistic in a very bleak time of destruction and hatred:

I liked them too, I like their thoughtfulness and the way in which he searched for exactly the right meaning. Perhaps his musical example of co-operation between Palestinian and Israeli musicians in the moment of performance might seem far fetched to some, except Barenboim says the thought occurred to him in mid-performance, and I have to believe him. Bravo Daniel!
