Are you really? I never would have thought it. The point is that there is something about UKIP which attracts people like Griffin (as well as something, presumably something else, that attracts people like you) because they see it as furthering their own aims in some way. That should be pause for thought in itself.

Could we make 'new ideas' into 'better ideas' please?

Messrs Hayek and Friedman had 'new' ideas - and look where that got us.

Yes, new ideas always welcome. But they must ensure that taxes are levied sensibly, in a way that does not mean revenue is lost because young, talented, high-earners like Lewis Hamilton are incentivised to come up with work-arounds. If you take the emotional politics out of it, it's just common-sense, really.

See, it's greed that's the problem here, as with all those reckless gamblers in the financial sector that apparently the country can't do without, who need to be "incentivised" to stay in the country and pay their taxes as if they were babies that needed placating, rather than being "incentivised" to regard the society they live in as worth contributing to.

Ok, now we know you don't like F1 (nor do I actually, but it's skilful and I respect that). There is something ineffably wrong with your (yet) insertion.

Greed? No, not IMV. Call it what you want, despise it even. But the desire to materially-accumulate is part of our 'design'. Lewis is not 'greedy'.

                'Incentivise'?

                Why not good old 'Encourage'?

Simply because the two words have different meanings ... this is where dictionaries come in handy, you see!

100% on the money (if you'll pardon the expression in the present context), especially that last bit.

Well, of course you would say that. Being that you are overtly a supporter of ukip, as is Griffin, think about what that says about you.... not that you will care now that you've been taken in by their crap.

I have absolutely no desire to encourage you as, sadly, you appear already to have a clear incentive to carry on.

'Incentive' indicates the promise of some sort of end gain/reward/advantage ... a 'carrot' if you like.

'Encouragement' does not ... it merely suggests confidence-boosting/moral support.

So therefore we must be clear on the distinctive definitions of separate words, amateur51, or things can be become extremely confusing ... oh, do go buy yourself a dictionary, man!
