    or anything really.
Yes, it surely isn't hefty taxation that's the problem, it's how the taxes are spent and who's paying them.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

      Many people are suggesting this
even Raymond Gubbay is a passionate advocate of subsidy

but it was made to look like I was suggesting it.

Health, education, transport, utilities & energy, defence, a healthy culture funding and a welfare safety net to get people back on their feet if they fall on hard times or are unable to take care of their own affairs, should all be handled by the state on behalf of the tax-payer.

          And then, nothing really.

            It's the usual lefty tactic.

What does UKIP include in a healthy culture funding?

It's the lack of detailed proposals that is so troubling.

Hefty taxation is a problem. Idle hands and the devil's work, and all that.

Why ask me? I'm way down the in the UKIP expert pecking order in this forum. I just believe in general terms that 'culture' is something that should be supported by the state.

No it's not, that's just an excuse. You just don't like the UKIP full-stop. And that's fine, it is a free country, after all.

Well yes, but does your favoured party think so too?

That is immaterial, he was the victim of a nasty lefty trick.

I don't like them because the only policies they have set out so far are simplistically xenophobic.

But the lack of detailed proposals from any party is troubling. I was quite impressed by Beppe Grillo's Cinque Stelle and their anti-political-establishment stance, but now I see they're joining that ragbag group of MEPs that Farage has put together, and I am...troubled.

No, I can't think of much else. That must be it. That's twice we've agreed on a political matter in a week, which is very good news for you, but deeply worrying for me.
