Stop deliberately misleading people. Or lying, whatever.
guess what you can't go back in time
Some of the places i've worked I have needed to go through a complex visa process that takes ages and is very expensive
The Kipper version of Europe gets rid of the freedom to travel and work without having a complex, expensive and tedious process but I guess that's ok for the kinds of businesses that they are interested in :-(

Laparoscopic GI surgery is complex. Applying for a visa - simple. Bad GongGong.
Takes ages? Very Expensive? What planet do you live on?

Double hernia surgery because the NHS couldnt be *****ed to perform one on my potentially life threatening condition any time soon, after seeing me in a consulting room WITH ANOTHER PATIENT IN THE SAME ROOM, priceless.
Or £3 k in fact.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I have never tried to get a working visa to do a gig in the USA, but my brother has, and he's done loads of gigs there. What's the big deal?
And my mate, who's a chippy (carpenter to you), seems to always be working in the USA. What's the big deal?
The UKIP manifesto is silent on the matter of withdrawing from the USA, anyway, so what are you banging on about?

So to summarise a little
The Kippers ARE just like the other political parties
and in their bright new Europe
we will have
Tight border controls to stop people coming in and out
and at the same time
WE will be able to go anywhere we like (as long as we slip a packet of fags to the border guard) and work without any restrictions.
Can't see any problem with that at all ........
(when I did some work in New York for a dodgy beat combo getting permissions for us all took 6 months and cost in the region of £1000 in fees and administration, lets bring that in for France , why not, "what's the big deal"?)

I'm just pointing out that it's not.

MrGG tells us that applying for a visa is 'complex', time consuming and expensive. I say it is a routine, uncomplicated process.
Your disagreement with me, and agreement with MrGG, it appears to be predicated on whether one is granted a visa or not, according to what you have said. The outcome has little to do with the matter in discussion.

edit: The fee for a temporary work permit is £112. Seems like good value for a work permit. The process is straight-forward and shouldn't take long. You've said that you've had problems before in Europe, and I've said before, that if you don't know how to run a business, pm me, maybe I can help ;-)Last edited by Beef Oven!; 18-06-14, 09:47.
