You know I think [sic] you have actually inspired me to finally leave Airedale after 3 years of not doing so....3 years of not seeing the sea (and for a Devon boy that's sacrilege)....I hope it actually comes off....hope to leave tomorrow, camping in my van in Anglesey....I've talked myself in and out of it several times....but now the task does not seem so insurmountable as it did 7 days ago....and the likelihood that I will probably come back terribly fatigued has even been rationalised (taking 2 dogs camping....tiring)....bong ching

The best beaches are always the ones you can only get to by walking to them along the coast path. There was one about fifteen minutes from the campsite with seals.

Looks like great headroom (always one drawback with most camping and boating for me - I have to go around like Quasimodo in usual camping/al fresco equipment) and no pesky windows waking one up early with all that damned light...!
Hope it's a great week, 8tho!

....Yes Jean it is lovely there, down by Hells Mouth....(just a bit far for me to go)Last edited by eighthobstruction; 17-08-13, 10:53.bong ching

Anna....this not my dog, but is very like him....mine has a completely white right side of his face....called Spen (Spen Valley He Who)....he's got long hair on his ears too....(comes to all us men....hair on ears)....
....I'd be honoured to have you there Anna....I'm sure you'd keep the dogs entertained, which to be honest is the thing that is going to exhaust me....you might even throw in a lamb curry perhaps....

I'd love to throw sticks for your dogs, and there is indeed some Welsh lamb** here ready to be cooked - but a roast, not a curry, you would be very welcome to share that of course! Not sure if I'd be keen on sleeping in a van with no windows - might be slightly claustrophobic.
** A treat as I'm saving so much money now on gas!!
