You shouldn't be in pain, but you've got to be patient I'm afraid.
        All the very best Bryn

So what is Anatole rustling up by way of nourishment ce soir?

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Lamb with stewbeans, with mixed veg. and long grain rice. Again, very fine for a prepared microwave meal meal.

I am very sorry to hear about your accident. Do be patient after the operation, as you’ll find that there are so many ordinary things you can’t do.

                        All the best.

Indeed. Not helped by the fact that following a nasty RTC in the mid-'70s I have limited flexion and slight over-extension in my right knee. That was a contributory factor in my tumble on Tuesday night. However, with appropriate caution, I will still be able to lead a reasonably active life.

Bryn, what's the prognosis for resuming your driving job - or will you think about permanent retirement now? Glad the op went well and the food reasonable.

Driving seats in large vehicles tend to have a reasonable height to them. I am advised by the orthopaedic surgeon that it will be around 3 months before I can drive professionally again. By then I will be due my next annual PCV medical. I go to a medical osteopath for that, and will be guided by him and the DVLA.

Car driving presents more of a problem. I might have to buy sort of commercial vehicle with a higher driving seat.

Maybe you could take up tennis - http://www.retiremove.co.uk/andrew-castle-hip-op/

Or marathon running! Actualy Andrew Castle looked pretty good playing some while after his op.

Best wishes again. Glad it seems to be working out.
