    London Transport 2015 Fares

There are big increase in certain fares from tomorrow, most notably, perhaps, in the off peak travel card, which increases to £12 from £8.90 , I think, which is scandalous.
Its a labyrinthine system, in which, as far as I can see, the only way for the casual visitor to get real value is to use an oyster card with its daily cap.

    Anybody got any tips?

If I go to the Proms, I usually park at Kew, and get the tube to Earls court (zone 2) and walk from there , which on an Oyster keeps the fare to about £1.60, (saving £1.10) so its worth trying to avoid zone 1 if possible.

Edit: An off peak travel card still seems to be around £4.50 if bought with a national rail ticket from outside the TFL area.
