    iDTGV

On leaving Nice by regular TGV recently we noticed that the second linked TGV unit behind ours was indicated as being an iDTGV so back in the UK we looked it up. So now we have booked to travel Paris-Toulouse and back first class for 40 euros each way next March. You can only book online ( NOT through Rail-Europe), you can choose lively (iDZAP) or quiet (iDZEN) zones and as with most things the earlier you book the better. Is this widely known? maybe not.

Not quite so good if you travel with a lot of baggage -

There are restrictions on the number of bags.

True, in our case the baggage goes in the car, by Autotrain separately, and we reunite in Toulouse.

I don't suppose it is even cheaper if you book from Clifton Downs, via warminster/ Salisbury?

sound like fun, would love to head that way by train........
